Sunray variants have probably caught more fish than any other modern fly pattern. They originate from the Norwegian Laerdal and Ray Brooks where Mikael worked as a guide. This soft swimming version tied on Frödin's TTT has the same color scheme but with soft ostrich hackles that give a modern, soft drop shape – it swims fantastically! When you see the soft white and black ostrich fibers move in front of the elongated wing, it is easy to understand why it is such an effective pattern, and like all Samurais, it is tied to be fished quickly.
