Lithium batteries

Lithium batteries have become a new standard in many sport fishing boats and kayaks to power sonar, electric motors, marine stereos and shallow water anchors. Lithium batteries are, as the name suggests, powered by lithium and have a higher energy density than ordinary lead-acid batteries. The major advantage of these batteries is their longevity, weight and compact size.

Lithium powered batteries, unlike ordinary AGM batteries, can be fully discharged without damage, allowing you to get the full number of aH when using lithium batteries. For example, a lithium battery with 20 aH is equivalent to an AGM battery with 40 aH, as the AGM battery will be damaged after discharging above 50% of its capacity.
