Vertical Rods

When looking for a vertical rod, we recommend a rod with a sensitive tip, and a lot of backbone, you want to be able to see and feel a small nibble clearly while you need the backbone to hook the fish.

Since you’re not casting the baits you use, casting weight is not the most essential thing when it comes to your choice of rod, though you may not always want to be at the maximum limit because you need power left to hook the fish.

Keep in mind, all the weight saving you can access is a help to avoid getting tired after a whole day of fishing! Please stop by the store and ask questions if you are unsure.
