Productinformation

In Micke Frödin's series of Classic Classics, they are exactly what the name says – fly classics. The Butcher or slaughterer is probably their oldest pattern, originally known as "The Moon's Fly". It was William Blacker who renamed it The Butcher as early as 1818, perhaps because it produced such outstanding catches. Frödin Flies appreciates this complex pattern and likes to fish it under heavy clouds in both clear and lightly colored water. They have tried to retain the original's colors, spiced it with SSS synthetic material, and turned the classic into a soft, drop-shaped modern icon that outfishes the feather-winged original.
