This is one of the patterns Mikael has tied many of for collectors around the world, and it is also one of his absolute favorites among the classics. The old master Kelson writes that it was one of his father's favorite flies. It is a pattern with old roots and probably the soft swimming heron hackle was one of the reasons for its mystique. This black, soft swimming fly works well as a standard for cloudy days in clear water. Frödin Flies has tried to maintain the original colors, spiced it with SSS synthetic material, and turned the classic into a soft drop-shaped well-swimming modern classic that out-fishes the feather-winged original.
