Frödin Spey Series - Black Heron Spey

Black is very rarely completely wrong, even in the clearest river black can be right as long as the size is adjusted to be small enough. This is one of the truly old spey flies with an origin dating back to the mid-1800s. It was also one of Mikael's true heroes, Mr. Anthony Crossley's absolute favorite fly. Crossley was an angler of rank and the man behind the "bible" #The Floating Line for Salmon & Sea Trout”. Mikael has walked Crossley's paths and also caught fine fish on this little discreet heron fly.
