Summary

Back in the early eighties Mikael was pioneering with the use of soft fox hair in his wings. This has since then become a standard on Scandinavian style of flies. Fox come in many cross breads and qualities. The use of superb quality of all materials is essential for us. All our fox is dyed by us in our special 15 colours. It’s dried and brushed and very highly selected. Our fox comes in four qualities. Two from body hair and two from the tails.

Frödin Flies presents high-quality fox hair, specially selected and dyed for Scandinavian salmon flies. This soft, 3–6 cm fox hair is ideal for crafting voluminous, lifelike wings on hook flies, as well as micro and nano tubes. Each hair is carefully dyed, dried, and brushed to meet the highest standards, making it a great choice for underwings on medium-sized tube flies.
