OPST

Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactic / OPST was founded outside Seattle in the Northwest of the USA and is a manufacturer of skagit fishing lines and accessories as well as fly tying materials. OPST was founded by Ed Ward and Jerry French, among others, who are some of the key figures and "inventors" of the whole Skagit concept.

OPST has further developed and adapted the skagit lines to make the whole system as easy as possible to cast. Their products have quickly become very popular around the world due to the fact that it is so easy to use and fish with in places where there is no room for a normal back cast.

Among their line systems we find products like the OPST Commando Skagit Head, Lazar running line, Commando Sink Tip, Commando Floating Tip, SHS Floating Tip and OPST Commando Smooth. OPST also develops accessories such as line and tip storage, shooting head wallet and tip wallet, and waterproof bags such as the Rainforest Waterproof Waist Pack.

In addition to their main focus which is on fly lines for skagit fishing, OPST has also developed fly tying materials with a focus on fishing for steelhead, king salmon, salmon, sea trout and rainbow trout.
