Rapala

Everything started with a Finnish gentleman named Lauri Rapala and his carving knife. In 1930, Rapala noticed that large fish liked to eat smaller fish that were injured, he even thought the phenomenon was so obvious that he couldn't really let it go. He made his first real wobbler in 1936, he took aluminum foil from a chocolate bar to cover the sides of the bait, melted photo negative as a protective layer, but most important of all, the bait swam like a injured bait fish. Legend has it that Lauri caught 300kg of fish in one day with this new bait!
