FlyLab, part of the New Zealand-based Manic Tackle Project, offers fly reels that perform incredibly well, look fantastic, feature a reliable drag system, and are attractively priced. Manic Tackle was founded in 2008 by Rene Vaz and his wife in a garage outside Auckland. Rene, a passionate fly angler, became the youngest-ever member of the New Zealand national fly fishing team in 1999. His relentless pursuit of dream fish, fishing in magical locations, and love for the products were instrumental in the development of FlyLab fly reels. FlyLab offers several series of fly reels for all fly fishing needs, from light fishing with small dry flies and nymphs to heavy tropical fly fishing.
