Ambulance
Super effective stimulus colour! The bright colours of the ambulance often make jaws open when pike are just lazily following the natural bait or you need a bright colour in cloudy water. The classic schlappen tail and a mix of bucktail and synthetic fibers give the fly profile and movement. Tied on a 6/0 Partridge Universal Predator X hook.

Hollow Deceiver Black & Red
Red and black, the most mandatory colour in the pike fly box. The classic Hollow Deceiver style has both a high profile, lively swimming action and quite comfortable castability. Tied on a 6/0 Partridge Universal Predator X hook.

Parrot
Parrot is one of the pike angler's most important fly colours, along with Ambulance. Especially in coloured water, it's all about making the fly visible and standing out. In this case, a cocktail of three eye-catching colours can save the trip!

Red Head Schlappen Deceiver
If you've browsed our pike flies, you may have noticed that we love white-tailed Hollow Deceivers. When this is combined with a red head and some glitter, you get simply one of the best predator flies in the world. Guaranteed action in all pike fishing situations.

Roach
The natural bait fish coloured pattern is the most obvious fly option in the pike fly box. Silvery roach are part of the pike's basic diet practically everywhere. A roach-type natural colour is a good choice as a starting fly, especially if the water is clear.

Rotten Carrot
Rotten Carrot doesn't look like a perch or a roach, even with good will, but on the other hand, it's not quite an obscenely gaudy stimulus colour either. Maybe that's why it works so well for pike, so often. In our own boxes, it at least represents one of the number one pike fly.

Skitmört
"Skitmört" is one of the most important, if not the most important, colour in the fly box of a Finnish pike angler. 20 pounders often fill their bellies with large bream, and Skitmört's rich combination of gold and olive fits perfectly into that scheme. The legendary jerk colour is really effective even at the end of the fly line!

Undulaatti Schlappen
Blue, fluorescent yellow and white - we wouldn't go pike fishing without these. The budgerigar's colors are a combination familiar to many from the Marabou Deceivers made famous by the Heittokalastajan Hauki bible twenty years ago and have long been our favourite. Here, the colours are dressed in a more modern, hollow-style bucktail fly topped with a schlappen tail. If you had to go after pike with one fly, this would be an easy choice!
