Shimano calls it 'Infinity Evolution', but for sport fishermen worldwide, it will still be referred to as Stella.
Fishing with the Stella FK is an unforgettable experience, enhanced by the introduction of three new 'Infinity' technologies.
InfinityXross delivers even more durable gears than the Hagane Gear drive. This gives you more durability, especially under high loads, and extends the life of the reel.
InfinityLoop is an extremely slow movement pattern of the spool shaft, with even better line lay. This provides noticeably less line friction during casting and further enhances performance.
InfinityDrive produces powerful, yet light rotations, especially under high loads. In extreme situations, you can still maintain a constant and smooth retrieve.
For completely trouble-free line handling, Shimano has introduced what they call the Anti-Twist Fin, a fin placed near the line, which gives you a sense of the line, and always a stretched line that is spooled onto the reel via the line guide.

The W10 Coastal Braid has an ''Advanced Ultra High PIC'' construction with 56 braids per inch to achieve a smoother surface and higher abrasion resistance. The denser braiding through ''Advanced Ultra High PIC'' also provides a smooth surface for longer, more precise casts.

Sea trout and saltwater anglers require a line with extra stiffness to avoid wind knots often caused by repeated casts in strong coastal winds. To achieve this, the W10 Coastal has a double Dura-Coating that gives the line more stiffness. The process with Dura-Coating gel gives the braided line a smoother, hydrophobic surface, reducing water absorption and friction.
