Semperfli Kapok Dubbing is a natural dubbing featuring ultra-light and hollow fibers, providing outstanding floatation for dry flies. The fibers are derived from Ceiba Pentandra, also known as the kapok tree, and are naturally water-resistant, durable, and fast-drying. To boost buoyancy, Kapok dubbing can be easily placed in a dubbing loop, spun, and wrapped around the hook. It’s also ideal for nymphs, making it a highly versatile material for fly tying. The fibers measure 1.8 mm in standard length with a diameter of about 0.03 mm, perfect for creating detailed and delicate flies.
