In the early 2000s, the Mallard Xpress was born, inspired by classic British flies like Ullsock. Mallard Xpress is an all-round fly, effective year-round. Grey is ideal for clear water, orange for murky or cold water, and black for more contrast in muddy water or evening fishing. Best fished with fast retrieves and pauses.
