The Kaitum Wading Boot is the Guidelines lightest wading boot. It is a very affordable option for those who fish moderately and prioritize weight over stability. The shoe is made of quick-drying material that does not absorb water. The EVA midsole provides comfort and offers good shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces. A roomy footbed and sturdy nylon straps make putting on and lacing your shoes quick and easy. The upper buckles are made of metal which makes them easy to lace, on the back of the ankle there is another solid loop of nylon weave which provides good grip when the shoe is put on. The fit is a relatively wide Scandinavian last. Because of its light weight and quick-drying properties, the Kaitum is also an excellent shoe for anglers on the move. Felt sole provides good grip on many different surfaces, the best option on smooth, large rocks in flowing water and in the shore zone on the coast. You can also screw in studs for optimum grip on really slippery surfaces. We recommend our Tungsten Studs with accompanying tools.
Kaitum is completely free of PFCs and other environmentally harmful DWR treatments. To further minimize the ecological footprint, the shoes are delivered in boxes with recycled paper. Kaitum with felt sole weighs 795 grams per pair in size #10 and the color is Coal.
