Guideline Gel Floatant

High N Dry Gel floatant is made with unique materials to fit all types of dry flies no matter what material they are tied with. This type of impregnation is applied using your fingers and you can apply it to different parts of the fly depending on how well floated you want it to be. This type of gel is slightly thinner than many others and works well in materials that absorb moisture while forming a protective coating on the outside to prevent moisture from penetrating. The materials used and the consistency make High N Dry Gel floatant very suitable for use on flies with CDC. The viscosity/consistency of this Gel is temperature stable so that it does not become too thin in hot weather and hard when it gets colder.

Apply the floatant with your fingers and massage it into the fly. This gel is non-toxic and therefore environmentally friendly, making it a safe choice for anglers as well. A good tip when applying gel to flies with CDC is to apply the body first, then the hackle, so that the last thing you impregnate is the CDC. Doing it this way ensures that you don't have too much impregnation on the CDC, which really just needs a little "touch".
