Guideline Experience+

Experience+ is designed to be a line for all types of fishing situations and different types of casts. This fly line turns over long tails with perfect presentation and precision at all distances. The long clump is followed by a handling line that allows you to carry the entire clump plus overhang with fine stability and power transfer; an important feature when presenting the fly to shy fish at long range. But it's not all about distance, this line also works perfectly at short and medium distances. You don't need to carry much of the front of the clump beyond the tip of the spear to shoot line. The fairly short back taper makes the line fast in the air which is one of the keys to it being such a great all-rounder.

The line profile is built with a 4-meter front taper, a 6.9-meter smooth belly and a 1.5-meter back taper for a #5 class line as an example. This creates a fly line that is easy to lift off the water and very well suited for switch and spey casting. There is also a 1.5m handling line that adds stability and durability to the zone where you double-dip. It also allows you to carry more of the fly line off the rod with full control.

Compared to the previous generation, the Experience+ has a slightly shorter bobbin length, the bobbin weights are slightly lower and the handling and shooting lines are slightly thicker. This results in a line that is easier to cast with better balance than its predecessor, still with the same great functionality as the original. The weight of the clump is a class up from what we recommend on our rods, but that doesn't mean you have to go a size down on the lines. For all Guideline rods, you can use the same class on both rod and line. But if you like a lighter feel, choosing a line class lighter also works perfectly. In general, for medium to fast rods, choose the same line class that is on the rod, if you have a slower rod with deeper action, then a line class down is a safe choice.

Experience+ is a three-colour fly line. The bobber has a pale Pale olive tone and the action line section is orange to give you a good reference when holding the line in the air. It also serves as a guide when you want to make spear casts. Finally, the sliding line has a discreet light Bone White colour. The Experience+ WF is built around a braided multifilament core with well-balanced longitudinal stretch. There are small, smooth factory-made welded loops at the front and back of the line and a laser ID marking near the tip. Both the box and spool are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Experience+ WF is available in classes WF3F to WF7F.
