The Douglas DXF fly rods have a Medium-Fast action with slightly faster recovery in the tip, designed for the best presentation regardless of the type of fly you're fishing with. Here we have a rod that is easy to cast, loads well, yet leans slightly towards the faster side.

The Douglas DXF fly rods are made with Douglas XMatrix Carbon Technology, which combines lightness with durability. The blanks of the freshwater models offer a moderate, medium speed and are designed to present your fly accurately. These rods offer impressive sensitivity that gives you clarity and simplicity in presentation, feel, and hooking of fish.

The Douglas DXF presents both the smallest dry flies and streamers cast with sinktip fly lines very well.

The tip of these fly rods shows a slightly faster recovery speed, allowing you to get your fly line to the desired distance without much effort, even under unfavorable conditions (strong wind, for example).
