The popper has a special flat bottom design, so it may be fished in fast rips without digging in like traditional surface lures. The lure is very productive when retrieved correctly. Retrieve the lure slow or fast using a little jerk. Then pause with the rod tip so the lure will produce another pop or gurgle to attract a feeding fish.
